Married to John with five adult children, I took up the game of golf about 20 years ago and happily at this stage all of us enjoy this great game. It is easily one of my favourite ways to spend time with family and friends all year through. I have enjoyed being a part of the ladies’ committee over the past number of years and was Lady Captain in 2007 having also served on the Connacht ILGU committee as assistant junior convenor for a time. Our ladies club, I'm glad to say, is a thriving one where a warm welcome awaits all new members along with a very well organized beginners program and social calendar. We look forward to extending that same welcome to all once again in 2014
“I am a Chartered Civil Engineer with my own Consultancy Business in Roscommon. I am married with 4 children and I was a relative late comer to Golf taking up the game when I retired from Gaelic Football and Rugby some 12 years ago. The game of Golf has given me enormous enjoyment and I have made numerous friends over the last few years. I have served on the Men’s Club Committee for the past number of years (including 3 years as Honorary Secretary) and have really enjoyed my time as an officer of Roscommon Golf Club. I would encourage anyone to take up golf but particularly sports people who have retired from other codes and are looking for something to fill the void.”
“I am a native of Co. Roscommon, married to Adrian and I have three adult children. As a ‘late starter’ to golf, I joined Ennis Golf Club in Co. Clare in 2005. Prior to this work and family commitments prevented me from devoting time to golf. I was a member of Ennis Golf Club until 2010 when I moved back to Roscommon and joined Roscommon Golf Club in 2011. As a committee member from 2012, the role of looking after lady beginners to the club proved fulfilling. To those who are thinking of taking up the game of golf - It’s never too late to learn!”
