The final 18 holes of the president’s 36 hole stroke competition to the men took place last Saturday 24th June. The overall winner was Michael Sharkey with 137 nett. This is the second year in a row that Michael has won this competition even though the competition was a matchplay format last year. Congratulations to Michael. Full results of competition were:

1^st Michael Sharkey (18) 137 nett, 2^nd Charlie McDonnell (22) 139 nett, Gross Jack Sharkey (5) 156, 3^rd Paul McNally (12) 140 nett, 4^th John Connaughton (10) 141 nett, 5^th John Walker (9) 143 nett, 6^th Seamus Maher (22) 144 nett, 1^st 18 Brian Keane (19) 66 nett, 2^nd 18 Charlie Brennan (23) 71 nett.

The senior competitions for ladies and men was held last Thursday 22nd June and Geraldine Hoban won the ladies with Tony McManus winning the men.

The presentation of all prizes to both Ladies and men took place in the clubhouse on Saturday evening and this was followed by a social evening for the Cunningham family, friends and members.

A great couple of weekends of golf for both ladies and men and thanks to Mary Cunningham for hosting all the competitions. We hope Mary enjoys the rest of her year as being President of Roscommon Golf Club.
