Our honorary club member Jack Halliday has passed away on Sunday 20th November. Jack was originally from Yorkshire but came to Roscommon town in the early 1960’s. As soon as himself and June arrived in town they both joined Roscommon golf club to meet new people in the area. Over the years Jack was President, Captain and Secretary of our club. He was a wonderful member helping fellow members with golf club repairs and doing many repair jobs around the club. Jack was always in good humour and always chatted and made everyone feel welcome in our club.
We would like to pass on our condolences to his wife June, daughter Karen, sons Grant & Gary, extended family and friends. Jack will be sadly missed by everyone in our club. May he rest in peace.
