Our Roscommon member and Irish international Thomas Higgins is part of a Golf Ireland quartet playing in the South American Amateur which gets underway at Club de Golf Sport Francés this week.

Emma Fleming (Elm Park), Ellen O’Shaughnessy (Co Louth), Gavin O’Neill (Malahide) and Thomas Higgins (Roscommon) have made the journey to Chile ahead of Thursday’s opening round.

The four Golf Ireland representatives will look to emulate the heroics of Galway golfer Liam Nolan, who claimed this title in 2023, the same year that Max Kennedy finished runner-up.
